The A-type supports can be used separately or in the ABC system. When using the A-type supports alone, you can increase the height in 10mm increments by stacking one support on top of another. Whereas, if using the ABC system, you get additional options for changing the height: from 12 to 20mm (B-type adjustment base) and 1mm (C-type levelling ring).
